The Airedale Terrier Dog

The Airedale Terrier dog has affectionately been given the name 'King of Terriers'. It has earned this name for many reasons, not the least of which is size - it is the largest of the terrier group. Most terriers were bred to dig and hunt small vermin. The Airedale on the other hand was bred to hunt larger animals such as deer, fox, wolves, etc. It is an intelligent dog that is capable of filling many roles.
