| Exercise |
Requires lots of exercise everyday. This need can be met with a brisk walk, a jog, a vigorous play session, or one of its favorite activities - herding. Also needs mental stimulation. |
| Coat |
Two layered coat. The outer coat is short, profuse, straight, and of medium texture. The inner coat is also dense but shorter and softer. |

Caramel to mahogany with black tipped hair. Black ears and mask. Resembles the German Shepherd dog. |

Ideal weight is 60 to 65 pounds (27.25 to 30 kg) while the ideal height is 22 to 26 inches (55.8 to 66 cm). Variations may occur in individual animals. |
