The Bouvier des Flandres Dog
The Bouvier des Flandres dog originates from the farming regions of Southwest Flanders (Belgium) and the Northern plains of France. It was used for a variety of functions including cattle guarding, herding, draft dog, and all around farm dog. It existed in a wide variety of colors and differing coats until the current breed standard was developed in 1965.
