The English Springer Spaniel dog is an ancestor to the American and English Cocker Spaniels.
It originates from Great Britain dating back to the 1600's. It is popular as a versatile hunting dog,
show dog and as a companion.

It has a two layered water resistant coat. The outer coat is flat or wavy. The undercoat is dense, short and soft. It has a feathered fringe on the ears, chest, legs, and stomach. |

Black on white, liver on white, or tricolor (black or liver with white and tan markings). |

Ideal weight is 40 to 50 pounds 18 to 22.75 kg) while the ideal height is 18 to 21 inches (45.75 to 53.5 cm). Variations may occur in individual animals. |
