The Hound Dogs

The Hound dogs group is a diverse lot of dog breeds. They vary significantly in size, weight, coat, and temperament. The one common trait is that they are hunters. Some hunt using mainly scent, others use mainly sight, while others use both. All these breeds have hunting in their heritage. The sight hounds such as the greyhounds have great speed and stamina for out running and overtaking quarry.
