The Japanese Chin Dog

As the name suggests, the Japanese Chin dog originates from Japan. Though ancestors of this dog came from
the royal courts of China, the chin seems to enjoy regal status in Japan, especially when compared to
other dogs. When first registered with the American Kennel club, these dogs were known as the Japanese Spaniel.
The name was changed in 1977 to Japanese Chin, but it is still known by its former name in some countries.

It is an intelligent, gentle, and affectionate companion that loves to please and loves to be with its owner. It makes an excellent lap dog but also enjoys an outing that gives it a chance to romp and play. The Japanese Chin dog is gentle and good with children. |
