The Norwich Terrier Dog
The Norwich Terrier Dog originates from Great Britain. It shares its appearance and ancestry with the Norfolk
Terrier; they were considered one breed until 1964 in Britain. (1979 in the USA) The most obvious difference is in the ears.
The Norwich has medium size erect ears with pointed tips.
The Norfolk on the other hand has V shaped ears that droop with a break at skull level with tips that are
slightly rounded. As well, the Norwich is more compact while the the Norfolk is slightly longer than it is tall.
Its face and erect ears give it a somewhat fox like appearance. Though the Norwich and the Norfolk are two of the smallest terriers, what they lack in size, they make up with
personality and energy.

It is more even tempered than most terriers. However, being a terrier, it is feisty, stubborn, independent, clever and bold. For an owner who appreciates the terrier temperament, it will make a likeable and robust companion. It likes to be the center of attention and to be included in all activities. |
