The Pekingese Dog

Ancient Chinese legend says the Pekingese dog is descendent from a cross between a lion and a monkey. If you allow your imagination to be vivid, perhaps you can see the monkey's face and the lion's body in a small version when looking at the Pekingese. The legend also suggests that lion gave the dog its royal air while the monkey gave it finesse.
