Can tolerate some cold but not very hot temperatures. Can live outdoors as long as conditions are not extreme cold or extreme heat. Is happy to live indoors. Equally at home in an urban or rural setting. |

Dense and profuse coat that develop into long natural cords. The coat is water resistant. |
| Grooming |
The Puli's coat requires lots of work to keep it groomed. The long coat easily catches and retains dirt and grass, twigs, leaves, etc. It can be brushed or corded. If corded, the cords must be separated regularly. If brushed, brushing is required every second day. Drying time after bathing can take more than 24 hours. |
