The Sealyham Terrier Dog
The Sealyham Terrier dog originates from Great Britain dating back to around the 1800's.
The breed was developed by Captain John Edwardes of Sealyham and bears the name of its region of origin. It gained in popularity because of its ability to hunt badger, otter, and even fox.
It also became a popular show dog, and was recognized by the AKC in 1911. It is not as popular today as it once was, but still makes a very good pet, show dog, or hunting dog.
