It is a true terrier when confronted with a challenge or the opportunity to pursue small game. Indoors it is one of the more even tempered dogs. It is very devoted to its family and likes to be included in all activities. |

Ideal for city living, the Skye Terrier is not very well suited to living outdoors. |

Requires some daily exercise. A short walk or exploring on its own in a safe area is usually sufficient. |

It has a two layered coat. The outer coat is straight, heavy and long. The undercoat is shorter and soft. |

Requires frequent brushing. The long hair covering the eyes and around its muzzle may require frequent cleaning. |

It comes in black, gray, cream, and fawn with black on the ear tips, muzzle, and end of the tail. |
