The Toy Fox Terrier Dog

The Toy Fox Terrier dog, also known as the American Toy Terrier is a little bundle of energy that is at home in the city or country. In a rural setting it is quite adept and never tires of hunting squirrels and rodents. In an urban setting it loves to play frisbee, fetch, or just about any game that involves running and expending tons of energy. And yet, if it is a lap dog you are looking for, the Toy Fox Terrier will snuggle up with you while you keep up with all the prime time soaps.

Origin The Toy Fox Terrier dog originates from the United States dating back to the 1930's.

Height and Weight Ideal weight is 4.5 to 7 pounds (2 to 3.2 kg) while the ideal height is 8.5 to 11.5 inches (21.5 to 29.2 cm). Variations may occur in individual animals.

Life Expectancy 13 to 14 years.

Group The AKC places the Toy Fox Terrier dog in the toy group.
